About: ATS includes over 270 graduate schools of theology throughout the United States and Canada. ATS first accredited St. Joseph's Seminary and College in 1973 and renewed its membership in 1983, 1993, 2004, 2015, and 2025.
Accreditation Renewal: St. Joseph's Seminary and College has been approved for an adjusted accreditation cycle to align with Middle States. The next peer evaluation will take place in 2032.

History: MSCHE, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, first granted accreditation to Saint Joseph's Seminary in 1961 and renewed it in 1973, 1983, 1993, 2004, 2015, and 2024.
Accreditation Renewal: Accreditation renewal is required every 8 years. The next peer evaluation will take place in 2032.

Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), Rome
Saint Joseph’s Seminary and College is affiliated with the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the Angelicum, in Rome. First granted in 1987, this affiliation permits eligible seminarians in the Master of Divinity program who complete the prescribed ecclesiastical course of studies and degree requirements to be presented for the ecclesiastical Baccalaureate in Theology, which is awarded by the Angelicum. https://angelicum.it/
